Lessons Learned

In Week 7, Life has thrown a curve ball. Had an accident that shattered bone, with multiple other broken bones and open lacerations.  Learning how to deal with major trauma.

Day 42 - The Plan Changes

Yesterday didn’t go as planned. I spent 8 hours in the emergency room and am now dealing with three broken bones and significant injuries. This will temporarily stop my walking and exercise — but it does not stop the rebuild.

Day 44-When Progress Stops

I almost didn’t record today… I’m in significant pain. Ive had multiple doctor visits and have learned that  one of my bones is shattered. Recovery is going to take longer.

Exercise is off the table for now. I haven’t lost a single ounce. But I also understand my body just went through trauma.

The reason I recorded today… is this one question… Who am I when progress stops?  I’m not rebuilding because it’s easy.  I’m rebuilding because it matters.

Day 47 - Healing Speed

Recovery is slower than I expected… I’m still in pain…. Still Limited in movement… Still no exercise… The scale… not my friend… The hardest part isn’t the injury… it’s adjusting my expectations.

I’m not rebuilding at full speed…  I’m rebuilding at healing speed.
